I think one must invest in good Makeup Brushes as Makeup Brushes play an important role in creating that perfect look. Real Technique was created by Sam and Nic Chapman, the sisters who have a YouTube channel called Pixiwoo. Their brushes have been around for a few years now and I have only heard good things about them. So I decides to try out the brushes myself to see if they are actually worth the hype.
The Core Collection set comes with 4 brushes and a carry case. The brushes are made of synthetic hair and hence are cruelty free.
Price: $18( But you can usually get these at a discounted rate)
Real Technique brushes are now available in India as well on various online beauty portals. However the price point is higher than what you should be paying if you convert the 18 USD to INR.
Out of the 4 brushes, my most used brushes are the Buffing Brush and the Contour Brush. The Buffing Brush is an amazing brush which gives you that flawless finish with liquid or powder foundations. The brush feels so soft on your skin and there is no shedding from any of the brushes. The Contour brush is a true multipurpose brush. I use it for contouring, under the eyes to set the concealer, to apply highlighter and it does all this perfectly.
The other two brushes of the set, the Foundation Brush and the Detailer brush, I kind of struggle to get good use out of them. The Foundation brush is tad small to apply foundation all over the face. I prefer slightly bigger foundation brushes. The Detailer brush, I use to conceal the dark spots.
The brush set comes with a carry case that makes it perfect for travelling. This set and a couple of other brushes is all I carry while travelling.
The quality of brushes is really good for the price point. I have used other more expensive brand brushes like MAC too and I prefer these over MAC anytime. These are easy to clean as well. I just use a mild shampoo to clean them on a regular basis.
Overall I am really impressed with these brushes. I cant say that I will be repurchasing them as I expect them to last a long time. But I will definitely recommend everyone to try these brushes. This set gets a Thumbs Up from me.
